As I was taking my first taste of the Feisty Goat Huehuetenango, giving my initial impressions, my fiancée (now my wife) pointed out to me that I may be biased, and not an ideal taster for the coffee.
I have synaesthesia, a condition that causes my senses to be wired differently. Synaesthesia is different for everyone, with some commonalities, and for me I see colors when I see words or letters. My fiancée was suggesting that the flavors I thought I tasted may be influenced by the colors I see when I think of the word "Huehuetenango."
To illustrate this point, I made a piece in which I took the word "Huehuetenango" and attempted to give the letters the same colors as I see them. This is particularly difficult because they aren't always solid colors, and sometimes they have textures or seem to fade between two or three colors. I also put a border around the word to represent one of the main colors that I see with the word, despite it not being one of the colors of the letters.
It is designed for viewing on a desktop computer. I imagine it's is best with a cup of Feisty Goat Huehuetenango, but maybe you should take a sip before you begin, so it doesn't start you off biased.
